Module 3 of 8 · Course contents

Your employer must guarantee proper health surveillance, looking above all at eyesight, physical problems and mental workload. It is done by health staff and must be offered to you at three moments (article 4.1):

  1. Before you start working with a screen.
  2. Afterwards, at regular intervals, according to the level of risk and what the doctor decides.
  3. When problems appear that may be due to this work.

Eye test and glasses

  • If the results make it necessary, you are entitled to an eye examination by an ophthalmologist (article 4.2).
  • If you need special glasses for screen work and normal ones will not do, your employer must provide them free of charge (article 4.3).
In practiceYou wear varifocals and have to tilt your head back to see the screen. Say so at the check-up: if the doctor finds you need specific computer glasses, the employer pays for them.
